Trying to get inspired for some text illustrations in PCHAT with Ka, and ended up doing this instead:
“He whispers to me, the memory of smoke on his voice lightly scraping baby teeth along the edges of my awareness the way a kitten tests its fangs for the very first time.”
Ok, ungrammatical blabbering. Think of it as sensory wordage, rather than a real sentence.

Pretending some level of productivity, or at least general blog use, by blinking through SOMEONE’S links list that reminds me, “Oh, yeah. I read that too.” Hi, I’m being creepy.
Oh well.

Just a scribble I did in Paintchat with Ka. Sometimes I like how my artwork looks more like what it should be when I’m not the one doing all of it. We were messing around with scribbling/painting with a broad brush in paintchat, and then “inking” over top. It’s fun seeing how the results ended up looking like neither of us had drawn it. I think that’s really the spirit of a true collaboration –where both artists/writers meld to the point that you can’t tell who did what anymore. Where one started, and the other person took up. When the results being both like and not like what you normally would do.
I did the black, Ka did the blue.
We should all do this at some point. It’ll be fun.
Tried something new with my cell coloring which I hadn’t done in awhile. All I could hear in my head was Mirai’s chanting of “But Magenta is good… Purple is good. Pink is a fine coloooorrrrr!!”
Unfortunately I did it on paper that was way too small with faulty pens, so instead of looking edgy and cool, it looks like it really wants to be a Simpsons advert. I’m still quite happy with it, though. And I like the text.
